Instructors

Candace Gustine
Candace has been blues dancing for 2 years. Her passion for the dance is spawned from the live delta blues music that is so prevalent here in Memphis. She loves the raw, earthy blues and brings that into her dancing as much as possible. As a teacher, she focuses on getting students to find the soul of the music and to bring this out in their dancing.

Reuel Reis
Reuel has been dancing blues for 5 years. His passion for blues came in 2003 from one of the first budding scenes in the South East - Knoxville, then his stint in New Orleans where the sweaty, bluesy, passionate, original artists live and breathe and walk and play in little cheap joints with concrete floors and drinks served in plastic cups. New Orleans is a town much like Memphis and Reuel cannot wait to share his passion with a sister city. Reuel is a lover of Memphis/Delta blues and has only recently begun to showcase his new style and creativity.

Victory Together! Reuel and Candace won first place in Atlanta’s Enter the Blues, Jack and Jill Competition - March 2007.
